Grilling Lobster

Me and a buddy are having a debate on Grilling Lobster. Last time I was at Lobsterfest 2010, I bought two lobsters off the street and took them home to grill I remember asking the guy at the street festival how to grill them he said, Twist their heads off and split the backs down the middle and pack with butter and Grill. That is just what I did....however I don't remember having to boil them prior. SO my question is. do you have to boil them for about 5 minutes prior? If not what are the first steps? This year I'm not buying we're getting our own so we need to know. If they are alive, are we going to have a wrestling match to get their heads off? Or am I just being mean as hell twising their heads off? Every Recipe I found online says start with lobster tails but doesn't go into the "prep" details too much because most people don't want to start at the beginning. Thanks in advance I'm sure someone can point us in the right direction.
